Using the Logo
The Houghton Regis Town Council logo is the primary visual identifier of the Council. It represents the town’s heritage, community, industry and environment. It is important to follow the guidelines below in order to ensure it always looks its best.
The logos below are the approved versions for use and can be downloaded as required.
The shape: Shield‑like
The symbol: A blend of royal heritage, natural landscape and community essence
The style: Modern, clear, and adaptable, using heritage‑linked colours and natural forms to reflect Houghton Regis’s character.
Secondary logo variation
The variation: Black and White
The use case: The black logo should only be used on light colored backgrounds.
Which colour logo to use
The Primary logo should preferably appear on white or light neutral backgrounds.
Where colour backgrounds are used, ensure strong contrast and clear legibility.
The Secondary black and White logo should only be used on light colored backgrounds.
Exclusion zone
· A clear space must be maintained around the logo.
· This space should be at least equal to the width of the outer border of the oval logo.
· No text, images, or graphic elements should enter this area.
Minimum Size
· Print: Logo should not appear smaller than 25 mm high.
· Digital: Logo should not appear smaller than 120 px high.
Logo misuse
It’s important that the appearance of the logo remains the same. The logo should not be changed in any way; this includes being modified or added to. Its rotation, colours, and composition should remain the same as when it was downloaded from this webpage, with no exceptions.
